July  2017  Edition

The General Meeting will take place Wednesday, July 19th at 7:00pm in the United Church Hall in Carrying Place. Al will give a demonstration on tying salmon flies.

We thank Dan Hoyle for his excellent presentation on fish identification. The mouth of an Atlantic goes to the eye whereas a Brown goes past the eye. The tip of the anal fin of a Laker goes past the base whereas that of a Chinook stops short of the base. A Coho has spots on the top of the tail only whereas the whole tail on a Chinook is spotted. The mouth of a Rainbow is white whereas that of a Coho is darker. The tail of a Brown is square whereas that of an Atlantic is slightly forked.

The Salmon Search was postponed due to unsettled weather. It has been rescheduled for August 26th & 27th.
